Oh Jesus! This book!! You guys HAVE to read this book! I’m still in so much awe of this novel and it’s been a few hours since I finished reading. How am I meant to move on to something else when this book is all I keep thinking about! Leigh has done a phenomenal job with this book and I applaud her for giving us something so amazing and heartbreaking, but breathtaking!
Bane is a story you will not see coming. You think you know what it’s about just by reading the blurb, but what you find will surprise you. It will break your heart, it will make you angry, it will fill your heart with love. This book has surpassed any book I have read this year. It is one of the best books Leigh has ever written and It is the most emotionally charged book Leigh has ever written. I am utterly and completely in love with this book!

Bane is everything they say he is. He’s a thief, a con man, a law breaking citizen. But besides that he is one of the most beautiful men Leigh has ever created. I love Vicious, absolutely love him, but Bane is so close to taking his crown it isn’t even funny. Bane is just so caring, under all his bravado is a man who will do absolutely anything for you, he will drop everything just to be with you. He is just simply amazing.

Jesse is such a broken soul. Ah, she ripped out my heart and stomped all over it with her story. I cried for her, I felt for her, I wanted to avenge for her! She is such an incredibly strong heroine. She is my favourite heroine from all of Leigh’s books. She has lived through so much in her short life, way more than others have had to endure, and she survived! She fought and she saved herself. She is a role model. Jesse is someone to look up to. I love how sassy she is when it comes to Bane. Their banter is enjoyable to read. Their tension is so hot I thought my kindle would explode!

This story is full of so many emotions! Angst, heartbreak, hope, faith, and so many more. This book is about finding the lost piece of your soul and healing it. It shows us that we are stronger than we think we are. It’s about finding that one person in the whole world who will have your back through anything. Who will love you unconditionally, and who will fight for you no matter what it takes. I laughed through this book, I bawled my eyes out as well. This story gave me every feeling under the sun. I love that a book can make me feel so deeply into my soul, make me feel like the characters are as real as I am. I give this book a million stars out of 5. I crave more words from Leigh and I seriously am so excited about her future projects! Do yourself a favour and grab this book. You won’t regret it.

A godless thief.
My reputation was a big wave that I rode, one that swallowed everyone around me, drowning every attempt to fuck with what’s mine. I’d been known as a stoner, but power was my real drug of choice. Money meant nothing. It was tangible, and therefore easy to lose. See, to me, people were a game. One I’d always known how to win.
Move the rooks around.
Change the queen when necessary.
Guard the king at all fucking times.
I was never distracted, never deterred, and never jealous.
So, imagine my surprise when I found myself being all three at once.
It was a siren with coal black hair who robbed me of riding the biggest wave I’d seen that summer. Of my precious attention. Of my goddamn breath. She glided from the ocean to the beach like nightfall. I crouched down, straddling my surfboard, gawking. Edie and Beck stopped beside me, floating on their boards in my periphery.
“This one’s taken by Emery Wallace,” Edie had warned.
Thief.
“This one’s the hottest masterpiece in town.” Beck had chuckled.
Con.
“More importantly, she only dates rich bastards.”
Liar.
I had all the ingredients to pull her in.
Her body was a patch of fresh snow. White, fair, like the sun shone through her, never quite soaking in. Her skin defied nature, her ass defied my sanity, but it was the words on her back that made my logic rebel.
