Mute will always be my favourite book from this author, but Table comes in second. I loved table from when I first read about him in Stud, I wanted more of his story and I got it! This book started off a little slow for me but I soon was captivated by the words I was reading.

Table is part of the Dragon Runners MC club. If you read Stud you would know a little bit of what happened to him to make him move away from his chapter. He is a fun loving, sweet man. He comes across as tough to outsiders who don’t know he is a teddy bear inside, especially when it comes to his daughter.

Lori is hiding something, but what is it? Her past is sad, and I know it’s something a lot of women go through. Lori is skittish, quite and hardworking. She needs a man like Table, who is her souls other half.

There is suspense, definitely the best suspense since Mute. I like how the Dragon Runners all come together when you need them or when one of their own is in trouble. I loved the glimpses back into the past couples, it makes me happy to read where their relationships are heading. I can not wait for the next installment for this series!

I've had stories in my head since I was a child.  All sorts of stories of fantasy, romance, mystery and anything else that captured my interest.  I'm a voracious reader, and have spent many hours in my life devouring books, therefore it's only fitting I should write a few myself!

I've spent most of my life as a performing musician and band instrument repair technician, but that doesn't mean I'm pigeon-holed into one mold.  I've been a university professor, belly dancer, craftsperson, soap maker, singer, rock band artist, jewelry maker, lifeguard, swim coach, and whatever else I feel like exploring.  As one of my students said to me once, "Life's too short to ignore the opportunities."   I have no intention of ever stopping so welcome to my story world.  I hope you enjoy it!

REVIEW - Across The Horizon by Aly Martinez

REVIEW

ACROSS THE HORIZON

BY ALY MARTINEZ

“Sometimes love happens when you least expect it.” That was what my husband’s mistress told me the day I found out about their affair.

I didn’t believe it until five minutes later when mouth-watering celebrity chef Tanner Reese walked up, tossed his arm around my shoulders, and told my cheating husband to take a hike. Tanner and I couldn’t have been more different. He spent his weekends at clubs, rubbing elbows with fellow A-listers. I spent mine in yoga pants with cheese boards and a glass of wine—or six. Our relationship shouldn’t have worked, but it did. That is until Tanner proved to me that even though love happens when you least expect it... So does heartbreak.

OH MY GOD! I loved this book SO MUCH! I have not read a book by this author, but oh my goodness, it was so so so good! The story captivated me right from the get go, I didn’t want to stop reading for anything! I would have happily let my family fend for themselves just so I could never put Tanner and Rita’s story down. My heart is so full with these two. This book is the reason why I read romances, it has everything I want in a book. The happiness, the gut wrenching sadness, angst, the climax, the love... I just LOVED it!!

Tanner was such a sweetheart and SWOON ALERT! This guy had me swooning from his first appearance. I loved the fact that he wasn’t really a big time playboy. He was incredibly sweet, loved his mum and he was so freaking funny. He has now been taken in to my all time favourite book boyfriends! I can not get enough of him.

Rita is strong, she is trying to find out who she is after her husband betrayed her in the worst possible way. Meeting Tanner was not part of her plans but things happen when you least expect them to. Rita is witty, funny and definitely the other half of Tanner’s soul.

Tanner and Rita have both been hurt in the past which makes them both vulnerable now. This story is just so sweet. It’s about healing, and finding that one person you just click with right from the first meeting. The author of this book has written something so spectacular. Her writing is exquisite and paints me a world that feels so real. The characters felt real, the feelings are real, and it just makes the reading experience for this book so much better. I am so in love with this book, even if it did make me cry! It was also very funny, I wasn’t expecting the humour but it was such a pleasant surprise. I so need to go back and read more from this author! I can not believe I am only just finding her now!

EXCERPT

I shifted the phone to my other ear and asked her, “Did you just get in bed?” “If, by bed, you mean carrying a glass of wine out back to swing in the hammock, maybe.” I bit my bottom lip, my head falling back against the headrest. For most men, this would have been an innocuous statement. But for a hammock connoisseur like myself, this was the normal guy equivalent of her saying that she liked to give blowjobs during halftime. “You have a hammock out back?” There was a delay in her response, which was followed by a subtle kiss of her lips on what I assumed was a wine glass. “Don’t knock it until you try it. It’s one of the most underrated luxuries in outdoor furniture.” “Oh, I’m not knocking anything. Rope or quilted?” “Mayan, actually.” “Oh, sweet heavenly baby Jesus, she’s beautiful and knows her hammocks. I’ve never been so turned on in my life.” She giggled, pausing for another sip. “You know, if you leaked this hammock fetish to the press, you could probably increase demand by five million percent and singlehandedly lower the country’s unemployment rate.” Okay, so at some point during the day, she’d figured out who I was. But! Even with this knowledge, she was trying to avoid a date with me and was not elbow-deep in planning our televised wedding. This was a definite plus in my book. “Yeah, but then, when I talked to beautiful women like yourself, I’d have no idea if the hammock was your idea or a ploy to impress me.” “Jeez, that’s sad, Tanner,” she said, her sweet Southern accent like a wave rolling over my name. I’d meant it as a joke, but it was the absolute truth when it came to dating. Early on in my career, I’d done a rapid-fire interview about my personal life. One of the questions had been: What would your ideal woman order on the first date? Truth be told, the only thing I hoped my ideal woman would order was something she wanted. I didn’t factor into that. But I’d been on my last question in my last interview of the last day of a month-long press tour. My face had hurt from fake smiling, I’d been in desperate need of a shower, a smoke, and sleep, and my mind had been mush, so I’d prattled off the first thing that had come to mind: shrimp and grits. That one little answer somehow made it onto my Wiki page, and after that, every woman I’d taken out ordered shrimp and grits. One of them even had a shellfish allergy and nearly ended up in the hospital. And this insanity was not limited to women outside of the spotlight. I’d once gone on a date with America’s princess of pop, Levee Williams. We’d hit it off at a charity event. For one of the most famous women in the world, she was a surprisingly nice girl, gorgeous, and funny as all get out. But the first time I took her out? One guess what she ordered. I was at the end of my rope with dating and lost my freaking mind before storming out like an asshole. That night, as I was reporting shrimp and fucking grits as an error to Wiki, I noticed that her page listed it as her favorite food. I’d never had the balls to contact her again, and I once hid behind a palm tree on Rodeo Drive when I heard the clamoring of paparazzi calling her name. But that’s neither here nor there. In short, while finding a woman was all too easy, dating was hard. But that wasn’t about to stop me from trying with Rita.

Originally from Savannah, Georgia, USA Today bestselling author Aly Martinez now lives in South Carolina with her four young children. Never one to take herself too seriously, she enjoys cheap wine, mystery leggings, and baked feta. REVIEW - Wrapped In Love By Lexi Ryan

Wrapped in Love by Lexi Ryan

Release Date: December 4th, 2018

wrapped_amazon.jpg
Wrapped in Love, an all-new standalone contemporary romance by Lexi Ryan.
The rumors are true. I’m a hot mess with an awful track record at love. Single mom. Down on her luck. Yeah, I’m bad news.
If the hardest part of moving back home to Jackson Harbor was going to be people talking, I’d be fine. I’ve kept my chin up through worse than their decade-old gossip.
I was wrong. The hardest part is resisting my boss. Brayden Jackson is the very picture of tall, dark, and handsome. And thanks to an ill-advised one-night stand we had seven months ago, I know exactly what I’m missing when I turn him down. Every. Single. Delicious. Inch.
But I have my son to care for and my job to keep, so I’ll keep on saying no.
Until my string of bad luck continues, and suddenly my precious four-year-old and I find ourselves with nowhere to live. At Christmas, no less. It’s for my son that I accept Brayden’s offer to stay at his place. One by one, my defenses are falling, as fast as I am. If Brayden was smart, he’d run, because it’s only a matter of time before he realizes he deserves better than what a girl like me can offer.
Unless, for once, my bad luck is leading me exactly where I need to be.

I love being back with the Jackson brothers! Brayden and Molly are here with their emotional story. I enjoyed this book, and I am so happy that after everything that Molly has been through, she was finally able to find her happy ending. Even if she never believed it would happen for her.

Brayden is the oldest of the Jackson brothers. He runs most of the workings of the brew business his family owns. He is the more serious brother, hardly ever smiles and definitely keeps his cards close to his chest. But with Molly those things sneak out of him when he least expects it.

Molly is broken. After what happened to her in the past, I would be broken too if it were me. She did not have the best teenage life at all, I really felt for her. Molly is a single mum to the most adorable child. I got really mad at the way the people around the town would treat her, especially the men. She does not need to be treated like that.

Brayden and Molly both had things in their past they wish they could change but they learn to heal each other. I loved that Brayden showed Molly just how special she was, how wonderful her son was. That’s what makes this couple amazing together. I was captivated by this book and I read it fairly quick. I can not wait to catch up with the remaining members ready for love in the Jackson family.

WIL-Teaser 10 AN.jpg
Excerpt:
“Oh, and this box wasn’t labeled. Where do you want it?” Brayden pulls open the flaps of the box he set on the bed when he entered. “Looks like there are some washcloths in here. And . . .” He lifts a stack of washcloths and peers at the contents beneath. His eyes go wide. “Oh.” The moment my brain registers what he’s looking at, I lunge for him and smack a hand over his eyes. I intentionally put that box in my car, separate from the others. And I forgot. Brayden’s chest rumbles with laughter, and I want the floor to open up and swallow me whole. Brayden Jackson just saw my entire vibrator collection. He gently pulls my hand away, revealing eyes full of mischief. I squeak. “Don’t look in that box again.” His lips twitch. “But I really, really want to.” I point a finger at him. “Don’t you dare.” He presses his lips into a thin line, amusement dancing in his eyes. Then, as if he can’t help himself, he asks, “Are they all pink?” “Shut up!” My cheeks are on fire. His voice is the softest caress of a whisper when he says, “Molly, your cheeks are almost as pink as your vibrators.” I smack both hands against his chest. “You did not just say that word!” “Vibrators?” He grins. Not one of his smirks or half smiles, but a grin, and damn me and my stupid chemical attraction to this man, because it makes me want to slam the bedroom door closed and climb him like a tree. “If you don’t like the word, why do you have—” I throw my hand over his mouth. “Don’t say it. We agreed we’d keep our relationship professional—that’s what we both wanted. So don’t say it. Don’t even think about it.” Then, because I realize his lips are pressed to my palm and it reminds me too much of our night in New York when his lips were everywhere, I back away. The warm amusement in his eyes turns to heat. “First of all,” he says, his voice like silky steel, “those were your rules, not mine. I agreed for you, not because that’s what I want.” He drags his gaze over me, and my heart pounds so fast it feels like a hummingbird’s trying to escape my chest. “Second, even if I tried not to think about you using your little collection of pink toys, I’d fail miserably.” He dips his head, and I can feel his breath against my ear as he says, “I’m already thinking about it, and I will be for a long time yet.”

I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!! Love love love it! These types of books are my catnip and I can not get enough! This sports romance is a slow burn, but it slow burned so good. I could not put it down! I was so sad when it was over, I just wanted to keep living in this imaginary world.

Kip, or Sasquatch as he is known to pretty much everyone is a rugby player, and do you know what the best bit is..... He has a beard! I am talking full on beard that he has been growing for years.. I love a man with a beard. And let me just say... I kind of swooned for the man bun! I hardly read books that have men with man buns, so I use loved how hairy and bearded this guy was!

Teddy is such a quite Mousey girl! She tends to hang back, not want to be the centre of attention, she reminds me a lot of me actually. She hasn’t got the best friends, and that made me feel sad for her. No one should be treated like that. I loved her quirkiness in this book.

The slow burn between these two was so good! I could feel their connection right from the start of their banter. They are just so good together. The only thing I can fault about this book is the fact that it ended... I want more... gimme more... looks like I need to go back and read it a few more times to try and satisfy my Sasquatch longing. I can’t wait to see what this author brings us next, I am so flipping excited!!

RELEASE & REVIEW - Engaged To The EMT by Piper Rayne

RELEASE AND REVIEW

ENGAGED TO THE EMT

BY PIPER RAYNE

A Sexy FAKE RELATIONSHIP rom com standalone written by a duo of two USA Bestselling Authors Luca Bianco is a jerk. There I said it. He thinks he’s so suave and sexy, walking around in his paramedic uniform stretched out by all his hard muscles and saving lives every day. I swear he thinks every woman in the world would kill for a chance to be with him. Men like Luca are good for one thing only—a one-night stand—not commitment. I don’t care if my friend did pay good money at a charity bachelor auction for me to go on a date with him, I refuse to do it. That is until Luca offers me a deal I can’t refuse, and I agree to be his pretend fiancé. The heat that’s simmered between us for a decade ignites and I’m not sure even Luca will be able to kickstart my heart after I call code blue. What’s that saying? Love is blind? Not true. I can see this head-on collision coming a mile away.

The series is now over and I am so sad!!!!! This book was such a fantastic conclusion to this amazing series. These brothers won my heart!!! This is definitely one of the best series I have read. Engaged to the EMT had me pulled in from chapter one, I couldn’t even put it down.

Luca and Lauren have always had this hate/hate type of competitive relationship. They are always at each other’s throats, always fighting, but you could feel the underlying tension between them. Luca was so different in this book and I really enjoyed seeing this different side of him. I loved the secrets that he held close to his chest. They just made me love him even more.
Lauren is a strong, outspoken women. Deep down though she craves things most women do, but she doesn’t think she will ever have those. Lauren is the perfect heroine for our hero Luca. These two are electric together. I expected sparks to fly off my kindle. They are both just amazing.

I loved seeing the past characters. Mauro is still a favourite of mine but Luca definitely fought Mauro for the top spot in my heart. This book had me laughing, as well as had me feeling sad in parts. There is just so many things to love about this book, and this series! I don’t want to give too much away, so I will let you all read it for yourself. I can not wait to read more from Piper Rayne!!

EXCERPT

The light from the street reflects the humor shining in his eyes. “I’m just sick of the fighting.” “Fighting is what we do best. It’s basically how we communicate.” Then all the puzzle pieces join together in my head. I’m so stupid. “You want something.” We pull up in front of my house just as I realize what a fucking moron I am. “Nope.” He takes the keys, grabs the bag of food and gets out of the car. He’s totally playing me. I might not be a psychologist who can quickly spot a liar, but Luca, I know too well. Not well, but when it comes to our interactions—I know him. And this nice Luca, taking me to a Hawks game, buying me dinner, wanting to eat with me…this isn’t the Luca Bianco I know. I climb out of his car, the slam of the door echoing down the dark residential street. “Tell me what it is you want.” His lips remain straight, not even a hint of a smile or smirk. Another clear sign that this isn’t the Luca I know. “Come on. Let’s eat.” He nods in the direction of my house. “By prolonging whatever it is, you’re just pissing me off, which means if you need something, I’m more than likely going to say no. Or we could play a little game…” “How about we eat?” He waits patiently as I insert the key into my door, disengage the alarm that Cristian, Luca’s brother insisted we get installed. Police officers. Jeez. We step inside and he’s the one to shut the door and flick the lock. “Planning to have your way with me?” I’m not serious as I walk into the kitchen to grab us some drinks, utensils, and napkins. The sound of the television blaring drifts into the kitchen seconds later. With my hands full, I head back into the living room. “Feel free to make yourself at home,” I deadpan, handing Luca a Vitamin Water and a napkin. “Thanks.” He lifts the napkin and drink. “And thanks.” We sit on the couch because although our house is nice and newly redecorated thanks to Maddie’s mad skills, the family room area is small and the best place to see the television is the couch. No worries though, there’s still a cushion between us. I open up my box of food, a little bit of steam hitting my face. “I can’t just sit here and watch soccer with you and not know what you want.” I hate that I’ve had to resort to being sincere in my request. He opens up his own box and I’m a tad jealous I didn’t get the burger. It smells and looks delicious. Luca doesn’t respond, just stands and heads into the kitchen. He knows our house way too well thanks to his brothers always suggesting we meet here when we go out. I pop a cauliflower floret into my mouth, tasting the Korean flavor makes my mouth water. Opening up my Vitamin Water to cool my tongue, I ignore Luca’s return, instead, fixating on the television as he rounds the coffee table in front of me. The couch dips with the weight of his body which is now closer than before. I’ve never been alone with Luca, much less this close. I feel a shift in our volatile relationship like the stillness before a storm. It’s too quiet. It’s too calm. Too…enjoyable. “Here.” My gaze shifts from the television, although I couldn’t tell you the score of the game and I see he’s holding half his burger out to me. “What’s this?” I ask, loading my mouth with another califloret. Man, it’s hot. “I think you had a little bit of drool dripping from your mouth when I opened the container. How about we share?” He smiles. A smile I’ve only ever seen on his face with his friends, or his brothers, and especially his mom. He doesn’t even wear this smile when he’s with girls. At least not that I’ve ever seen. That fact runs around my stomach stirring up the butterflies to max flight. I don’t like this. It’s too damn calm. Where are the eighty mile per hour winds? “Luca, if you don't tell me what you want, I’m going to kick you out of my house.” I take half the burger and slide my cauliflower and fries closer to him as an offering. “You can’t just wait?” he asks, seeming disappointed. “HA!” I point to him with a greasy finger. “You do want something from me. Tell me what it is.” “You’re ridiculous you know that, right? A normal person would wait.” I shake my head. “No, they wouldn’t.” See, this feels good. This feels right. “LUCA!” I scream. He blows out a breath. “Fine. I need a favor from you.”

REVIEW & RELEASE My Bad by Lani Lynn Vale

RELEASE AND REVIEW

MY BAD

BY LANI LYNN VALE

BOOK 4 IN THE BEAR BOTTOM MC SERIES

Hoax knows two things very well. One, he’s not relationship material. Two, the nurse that treats him for erectile dysfunction is the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen, and practically has ‘the marrying type’ stamped on her forehead. Does that stop him from wanting her? No. Unfortunately, he learned a long time ago that Army Delta Force and long-lasting relationships don’t go hand in hand. But beautiful hazel eyes, curly blonde hair, and the prettiest lips he’s ever seen play havoc with his resolve, making him forget his earlier convictions. All it takes is one teeny, tiny kiss for every shred of control he has to disappear, along with the problem in his pants. Soon he finds himself doing things that he knows that he shouldn’t. He doesn’t know that he’s found the woman that’s meant to be his. Nor does he realize that her father is the man he’s idolized from the moment he joined the army at the age of eighteen. Because, maybe if he had, he would’ve tried a little harder to ignore the pull he felt between them instead of making her his the night before he deployed for six months. He also might’ve tried a little harder not to knock her up.

Here we are again with the next installment of Bear Bottom MC! I love this series so much! I can not get enough of this world or the people in it. Hoax and Pru’s story was a really good read, i really enjoyed it. They just seemed to click right at the start, and I loved the way they interacted. This story is a definite must read.

Hoax is a military man and part of the Bear Bottom Mc motorcycle club. I loved Hoax, he is so protective and caring. Built big and scary on the outside but such a teddy bear to the ones he loves on the inside. What’s not to love?

Pru, named after one of the charmed ones, is a strong, sassy lady who is Hoax’s perfect match. She comes from a family of Biker and military men. So when Hoax and Pru come together in this slow burn romance, things jet off into a direction neither one of them expected.

I really liked how the words in this book flowed. The story-line also pulled me in right from the start. There is a lot of laughter, a little suspense, and a whole lot of steaminess between the characters, you can feel their pull to one another. I just loved this book and I hope you do too. I can’t wait until the next installment.

Keyes Dixon’s life is challenging enough as a full patch member of the Disciples of Havoc Motorcycle Club but being a gay biker leaves him traveling down one tough road. With an abusive past and his vow to the club cementing his future, he doesn’t believe in love and steers clear of commitment. But a midnight ride leads to a chance meeting with a sexy pretty-boy in a wicked hot sports car that has him going down quicker than a Harley on ice.
Cocky Assistant District Attorney Alec Pierce lives in the shadow of his politically connected family. A life of privilege doesn’t equal a life of love, a fact made obvious at every family gathering. Driven yet lonely, Alec yields to his family’s demands for his career path, hoping for the acceptance he craves. Until he meets a gorgeous biker who tips the scales in the favor of truth…and he can no longer live a lie.
Can two men from completely different worlds…and sides of the law…find common ground, or will all their desires only wreak Havoc?

Where do I start.... this is my first read from this author and won’t be my last, I liked this book for the most part. I did get a bit upset when I got to the end and found out that there is a second book. No where says that this is a duet, the blurb makes it sound like the book is a stand alone. Things happened at the start of the book and were hardly even mentioned again at all, I understand now that these things will be answered in the second book, but I had hoped to get more Info in this one.

Alec is a DA and Key is a biker. Together they are pretty explosive. Their chemistry is very hot and they certainly create sparks. I liked each of these characters together and also individually. They both thought they were different, but actually they are not that much different at all. Hopefully they communicate more In the second half.

M/M romances are one of my top favourite genres, I just love reading them. Even though it took me a little bit to get into this book, I was invested in Alec and Keyes story. They just seem so right for each other. This book is duel POV, which I love! I like to be able to get into both characters heads. I really hope book 2 has all the things I crave. I’m waiting for the climax and I hope it knocks my socks off. I look forward to getting my hands on book 2.

Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It's always a surprise to see what's coming next!
I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it's true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women's hair!
Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life - I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations - regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal... I don't want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I'm going to tell you about Kindle.
I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I'll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died - weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn't have to be alone.
That time in my life was terrible. It's everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.
Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness - it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.
Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn't a time she wasn't there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It's its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn't be here today without her.
