Bro Code

By Kendall Ryan

Release Date: May 1st

Standalone

From New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan comes a flirty new standalone about falling for your older brother's best friend.

There’s pretty much only one rule when you’re a guy.
Don’t be a douche.
Turns out, the fastest way to break that rule is to fall for your best friend’s sister.
Ava’s brilliant, sharp-tongued, gorgeous, and five years younger than me.
She’s the sexual equivalent of running with scissors.
In a word, she’s dangerous. And completely off-limits.
Falling for her could ruin everything.
Yet I can’t seem to stop, even when her company is threatened by a lawsuit, and my promotion hinges on representing the opposing client—and winning.
I can’t see a way out of this mess that doesn’t end in a broken friendship, a broken heart, or a ruined career.
I may have broken the bro code when I fell for Ava. But do I have the balls to handle what comes next?

★★★★ - 4 Stars

This is actually the first time I have read a book written by Kendall. I love reading taboo, forbidden reads. The idea anticipation of them being caught is exhilarating, but I felt that this one fell a little short of the exhilarating feeling. I was waiting for a big meltdown, but something completely different took me by surprise. Safe to say that I did not see that coming!

Ava is a sweet young lady, been sweet on her brother’s best friend pretty much forever and is home for good. Barrett is a lawyer, who is working his way to the top. He follows closely to the rules of the Bro Code, so are Ava’s feelings unrequited?

The story is a quick read and I did enjoy it. It made me laugh a few times, especially the bathroom scene at the start. The story flowed, I just wanted to see more ‘almost getting caught’ moments. It’s a light, sexy romantic read. I am looking forward to reading more from Kendall, and I can not wait till her next release! I received an early copy of this book. Opinions expressed are my own.
