REVIEW Delicious by Marci Belle

Delicious is now Live! It's time to meet Calvin and Evie

DELICIOUS - A Sexy Foodie Romance

CALVIN
He's the London restaurateur and lady-killer who almost had his dreams shattered by the merciless American food critic, Evie Cooper. After publishing her damning review his restaurant is crumbling to dust.
The relaunch is Calvin’s last opportunity to salvage his aspirations of owning a Mexican restaurant in London’s most exclusive neighborhood. He’ll do anything to keep Evie away from The Aztec of Mayfair. The problem is, he has no clue what she looks like.
EVIE
When Evie meets the sexiest man she’s ever laid eyes on during a cramped flight to London, she’s unaware of what she’s getting herself into. It doesn’t take long to realize that she’s stuck in mid-air with the man claiming her as his mortal enemy.
She must keep her identity a secret from him. The problem is, he’s shamelessly flirting with her.
Life as a food critic isn’t always easy.

 Rating ~ 💜💜💜💜

This book is a debut for author Marci Belle, and as far as first books go, this book is pretty good! The story is a perfect enemies to lovers Romance. It’s not a long book, it’s a novella but the story flows pretty well. I did however not agree with the hero and Olga. I just feel wrong about it, but that is just my personal preference. I would have also loved to have the book be over a week or two. It seemed that everything happened within 3 days so I felt like the L word came a little fast. But other than those couple of small things the book was quite good.

Calvin owns a restaurant, which almost crashed and burned thanks to a review left by Evie on her blog! His character is a little broken thanks to the past. He was sweet though once you got past the hard exterior.
Evie is a food critic for a popular blog. Her character is such a sweet girl. She is fearful of some things when it comes to her reviews, and how people will take them. Calvin and Evie have a great enemies to lovers dynamic. Even when things peak they still can’t get each other out of their minds. Enemies to lovers is one of my favourite tropes because of the emotions that it bring with it.

The book itself is good. It’s written in a way that makes it easy and enjoyable to read. The story seemed to flow well and there never seemed to be a dull moment for me. I look forward to seeing what else Marci brings us in the future!
