For me, I was unable to completely connect with this book. While the book is still a good read, I felt like something was missing from the connection of the characters. I have loved all the other books in this series, so I was excited for Tess and Beau’s story. The characters are always fun and I love the whole small town theme this book carries.

Tess has a sad past. It really made me feel for her. She is a strong character and definitely needed someone like Beau in her life. Beau is actually quite the sweetheart. He is willing to put the needs of others before his own.

This book did make me cry towards the end, I must admit. It did hold a fair bit of emotion to do with Tess’ mom and grandmother. This book isn’t very long and I read it rather quickly. I can’t wait to see what is in store for Cooper!

Oh my god, I loved this book! It’s a slow burning romance with lots of heat, lots of sweetness and a Cowboy who knocked my socks off! I think I fell a little bit in love with Colton with each page I read, by the end it was undeniable... he has my heart!

Presley is a photographer. I love the fact that she is a curvy woman, I love the fact that she is a strong heroine. She is the perfect leading lady for our hero. Presley is sweet, but also a bit of a firecracker.
Colton, oh...there are so many things we could say about him. His personality is on point, he is hot, and he is a cowboy, and he is an absolute sweetheart! I love this guy, seriously.

The chemistry between these two is off the radar hot, and the book is such a fantastic read. One of my top reads for 2019 so far. I just love the story line, I felt it flowed just right for what was happening. It was a slow burn romance that didn’t feel too slow, I just absolutely loved it. I can’t wait to get my hands on more from this author!

I am sooo torn about what to write on this book. I really liked it for the most part, it was humorous, it was light, no drama. But unfortunately for me, I could not really feel a strong connection between the characters. They felt more friendly than they did lovers. This book is also a lot of a slower burn than I expected.

Cameron is a successful real estate agent, Young, Hot and Rich. Mallory is a clumsy Office Assistant, who is forever getting into trouble by her clumsiness. You will laugh a fair bit through this book. Ms Hart definitely knows how to write a comedy filled story. The story is short, and easy to read.

I am slightly torn with this book... On one hand, I loved it so so much! The tension, the Brayshaw boys.. hot damn! But on the other hand, parts of the book seemed to go slow. Raven went back and forth a lot. She kind of made me cranky a couple of times. I wanted to set her straight, but she was not hearing any of it. This book is quite addictive to read, I did not want to put it down at all. It took me a little while to read as it is quite a long book.

Maddoc, Royce, and Captain make up the Brayshaw boys and holy hotness, I loved them! Beepholes to the core, but so freaking sweet when it all comes down to it. I fell in love with every single one of them for different reasons. The tension between Raven and Maddoc is so hot!! I felt the tension in every way. I was driven to the edge each and every time they got close, by the end I was a mess!
Royce is such a joker, and he made the book even more enjoyable. Captain is quite, and the sweetheart of the group. Maddoc is so broody and I think I loved him the most! For me, broody men = SWOON!

I felt a whole lot of emotions reading this book. I didn't realise it was part of a series when I started this book, so I warn you now, it ends on a cliffhanger that made me want to yell NOOOOOOOOO. I am going to need book 2 stat! I don't know if I can handle not knowing what happens next!

“You’re Raven Carver, aren’t you?”

I face forward with a frown.

“Sorry, but Maybell told me you were coming today. I didn’t think you’d be at school already, but usually the only new kids who come are people from the home.”

“Yeah, well, I wasn’t exactly given an option so, here I am.”

“Are you gonna run?”

I laugh lightly, shifting my eyes to hers. “Nah. I’ve got nowhere to be. Now I’m stuck in the system ‘til I’m eighteen anyway, so fuck it. May as well cruise through.”

“Those guys back there, you need to be careful. They’re… not like most high schoolers. People around here listen to them, follow their every move.”

So those are the guys the chick was referring to this morning.

“What you did today? They won’t allow that without getting you back. They can’t.” She shakes her head.

“I keyed his Denali.” I shrug. “Big fucking deal.”

The girl stops, her eyes widening. “Yeah, you got that part right. It is a ‘big fucking deal.’ If they let some nobody, new girl like you – no offense – openly disrespect them like that, it’ll threaten their entire system.”

“System.”

“Yeah. System. They’re a big deal around here, and not just at the school. You either kneel at their feet or get stomped under them. They’ll make sure you’re shamed, one way or another.”

We make our way up the dirt driveway. “He disrespected me first. If there’s one thing I know about guys, it’s if you let them walk all over you, they’ll take pleasure in doing it.”

The girl steps ahead, pulling open the screen door as she looks back at me. “If there’s one thing I know about the boys of Brayshaw, it’s that they’ll destroy anything that threatens to mess up their vision. Watch out, Raven. Your little stunt today may have gotten the guys you’re used to off your back, but for these guys? All you did was paint the mark brighter.”

I raise a black brow and she scowls at me.

“A target from them means a target from all their followers,” she spits.

Right. “Let me guess… you’re a follower?”

This time it’s her who pops an eyebrow. “Welcome to Brayshaw High.”

Each book in this series is just so good!! I can not get enough of them. I love the dynamics between them all and the way the characters are drawn together. I especially love how not everyone is perfect, it just makes the stories just that much better!

Pheobe is such a sweet heart. I am somewhat like her. I don't like to hang around in crowds and would prefer to read more than anything. She has held a torch for Benson since she was a teenager, which I think is just adorable. She loves him exactly how he is.

Benson is different from other men and he has put a lot of effort into making himself change for the better. He still has some touchy bits but the army change a lot for him. Pheobe is the only women he has ever liked and felt himself around. These two are just adorable.

I am seriously in love with this book, actually I am in love with this series! The book is light hearted, with a little suspense, but mostly it is just a really fun read. I devoured it! I didn't want to put it down. I can not wait for more from this series. I am so excited!

Ruthless King is an angsty enemies to lovers/ second chance romance. I really really liked this book! It was a very emotional ride. Things are not always what they seem and it goes to show that jumping to conclusions and not talking it out can hurt things between a couple. Communication is the key!

Emmett was Ruthless when it came to cutting Avery out of his life. He did not listen to a thing she tried to tell him. He is broody, hurt and hostile. But that has only been since he lost it all.

Avery hasn’t had the best of lives but she makes it what it is. She is always there for her sister, sacrificing everything so that her little sister has it all. All her hard work has finally paid off. But secrets still threaten to tear away her newfound happiness.

The tension is this book builds and builds! I thought my kindle was about to combust! The connection between Emmett and Avery can not be denied at all! And when they come together... BOOM, fireworks! I really enjoyed reading this book and thought it was really well written and emotional. I definitely can not wait for more in this series!

Review for Hard Limit by Sybil Bartel

I read Hard Limit by Sybil Bartel.
When I went into this book I didn't realise it was a 3 part series. I though it was 3 interconnected standalones. So I was surprised when there was a cliff hanger. Other than that the book was really good. The characters are different to what I have read from other books by this author. They come from different sides of life, but connect in ways only they understand. This story isn't heavy on the insta lust like past books by this author but it's still present a little bit.

This story is exciting and exhilarating and I can not wait to find out what happens next!
