Ruthless
King is an angsty enemies to lovers/ second chance romance. I really
really liked this book! It was a very emotional ride. Things are not
always what they seem and it goes to show that jumping to conclusions
and not talking it out can hurt things between a couple. Communication
is the key!
Emmett was Ruthless when it came to cutting Avery out of his life. He did not listen to a thing she tried to tell him. He is broody, hurt and hostile. But that has only been since he lost it all.
Avery hasn’t had the best of lives but she makes it what it is. She is always there for her sister, sacrificing everything so that her little sister has it all. All her hard work has finally paid off. But secrets still threaten to tear away her newfound happiness.
The tension is this book builds and builds! I thought my kindle was about to combust! The connection between Emmett and Avery can not be denied at all! And when they come together... BOOM, fireworks! I really enjoyed reading this book and thought it was really well written and emotional. I definitely can not wait for more in this series!
