REVIEW - Just Roommates By Charity Ferrell

REVIEW
Just Roommates by Charity Ferrell

 BOOK BLURB

Our relationship starts as a game. I sneak into his bar underage. He kicks me out. Repeat.

Maliki Bridges is the town's hottest bar owner. He thinks I'm the mayor's troublesome daughter. I think he has a stick up his a**.

Once I turn twenty-one, we become friends. Nothing more ...

Until my world is turned upside down, and he offers me his guest bedroom. It's a bad idea, moving in with him, but any opportunity I get to be around him I'll take.

Consequences be damned.   Becoming roommates is the riskiest game we've ever played.

Rating - ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ Where has Charity Ferrell been hiding?!!!! I absolutely loved this book!! The story was different to those I have read recently and it was so refreshing to get something like this. The words flowed flawlessly for me, every word kept me captivated right until the very end. I read in every spare second I had, even if it was only 2 sentences at a time. I couldn't get enough!
Maliki was HOT!!!!! Why were bartenders not like this when I was growing up? I would have enjoyed my nights out more if they had been. I grew up in a small town too and they definitely didn't make them like this hottie! I liked his character a lot and got where he was coming from in a lot of situations. Sierra was your rebel. Maybe not an overly bad rebel, but a rebel all the same. She challenged Ki like no one else. I did want to slap her a couple of times though, like "Girl...Why?" But again, I understand where she was coming from.
There was a little but of a grey area that I think a few people might not be able to get past but I got past it fine. I loved the delicious tension between both Ki and Sierra. God it made me all giddy! Butterflies dancing in my stomach. This book is slow burn but the type of slow burn that you don't realize because it's just perfectly written. Every word this author put into this book was perfect for me and I WANT MORE!!!!!!!!! I need to know more and if I am correct we should be having Rex (Sierra's brother) and his friend next and I AM ALL THERE FOR IT!!! Bring it on. I can't wait to read more delicious words provided by this amazing new to me author.
This is my voluntary arc review

EXCERPT

“I can read you like my favorite book, Sierra. I see you—the real you, and as much as you fight to hide every thought running through that pretty little head from me, I see it. Let me give you an example: Right now, I see how pissed you are at me.” I lower my tone. “I also see how much you want me.” She reaches down to dig her fingers into my hand resting on her thigh. “You’re so full of yourself.” I raise a brow, staring up at her. “Am I lying?” “Maybe I can see through you. Maybe you’re the one who wants me.” “Trust me, you can’t read me.” She laughs. “Oh, but I can. Do you think I don’t notice your jealousy as much as mine? That I don’t see how you have to snap yourself out of your feelings for me? You want me as much as I want you, Maliki. The problem is you’re too chicken shit to do anything about it.” “Too chicken shit?” “Too fucking chicken shit.” My lips crash into hers. Chicken shit, my ass.
