MY GOOOODDDDD!!! I LOVE THIS BOOK!!! I knew this book was going to be
good, but OH MY GOD it is amazing. There is just something about
Devney's writing that holds me captive. Her writing just makes me feel
as though everything is real, that I live in the story and I am an
'extra' watching it all unfold in front of me. I just CAN NOT get enough
of Ms Perry's writing.
Jackson has a really sad past. I can not even imagine how hard it must have been for him growing up. He has never really noticed Willa, other than another resident of Lark Cove. But something changes all of that and an epic love story starts to unfold.
Willa is so shy, but she is such an absolute sweetheart. I just love her. She is timid, but she is willing to stand up and fight for those she loves and that just makes her such a beautifully written character
This book is so heart aching at times, I felt a pain in my chest for these characters. I just wanted to reach out and help them. This story is just so beautiful. It shows us that there is a person out there for each of us even though we may not think we deserve it. yes, I must admit that even I thought Jackson was a little bit of an a$$ at times, but I really loved him. He was such a gorgeous man! I had a bit of a cry in some parts of this book, and I laughed as well. I caught myself with a goofy smile a time or two. I just loved reading this book so much. It makes me so excited for the third book. I can not wait to read that one! Ms Perry's books are all just so amazing and her writing will hold you captive. If you have not had the pleasure of reading a book written by this author yet, I highly suggest grabbing any one of her books and losing yourself in these wonderful world. Thank you Devney Perry for another fantastic story that has now taken residence inside my heart

I scooched my chair in toward the table, trying to put a little more space between Jackson and me, but he wasn’t having it. He put both hands on the back of my chair, then leaned in close. “Hi, Willa.” “Uh . . . hi.” I shivered at the heat from his chest on my bare shoulders. Why was he standing so close? My parents were right there. Our table was one of four tall, square ones in the center of the room and there was plenty of space between tables. Plenty. P-L-E-N-T-Y. But was Jackson using any of that plentiful space? No sirree. He stayed pressed against the back of my chair, like there were only three inches of usable space behind him, not three feet. My skin prickled he was so close. I tried to nudge my chair forward again but it barely moved. Sweat beaded on my temples and I pulled in a shaking breath. Jackson’s woodsy, rich scent was everywhere. It overpowered the stale beer, pizza and peanuts, and I inhaled a deep breath, unable to resist. Sexy Hot Forest. That’s what they’d call his cologne.
