Unfortunately for me this book didn't grab my interest like it did for others. Yes, some parts of the book were intriguing and in the end I did like Cam's character. But for me, I could not connect to the heroine, no matter how hard I tried.
Jackson was probably my favourite character out of them all. He was funny and had a lot of character. I found the story hard to follow in certain parts. One minute there was this plan and the next there was a different plan that I couldn't get my head around. She trusted people and then didn't trust them, and it seemed every man she came across wanted her and I came to wonder if maybe there was something in the town's water that gave all the men in the book this "hard" situation.
But now that it's over, and the author gave me that ending that made me go, "WHATTTTTTTTT just happened?!", I now need to read the next book! I do hope that book 2 will be where I connect because I think this could be a really great bully series.
